Not all those who wander are lost

Good god. It's been damn near two months since I've strolled into this thing. I miss the place. Been too snared in a kind of orbit around this samurai comic with Donny and it's driving me crazy with lack of action. Not that The Wanderer was a juggernaut on the fast track to publication (or even having its script done, Kash!), by any stretch of the imagination. But I was immersed in it. I knew the ins and out. I knew what my characters would say or would do. I was really starting to listen them.

Shoki I've been having to do from complete scratch. Makes me appreciate 5 years of mental investment. And on the other hand, what a cool thing it is to create a whole new universe of plot and characters, with no mazes of continuity to manuever through yet.

Wayne gave me sketches of Azaran, Zuzu and The Huntsman. I'll need to post them up on the Wanderer site sometime this week. I really dig them and while one of the pics has The Huntsman all of 4'5" tall ("de plane! de plane!"), he nailed the stag skull and antlers dead-to-rights perfect. Creepy looking Huntsman.

Wayne just seems so busy lately though. If for some reason this Shoki thing doesn't pan out, I'm determined to see if Donny will pick up the Wanderer and run with it. It doesn't seem his thing, what with his penchant for monsters and slice-n-dice but ya never know. He's got way too much talent to not ask him if he's game. I gotta move on one of them and soon. This entropy is driving me crazy.

On another note but seminally related, I'm still obsessing in the back corners of my mind about an ending to this thing. The attack on the Freak Avalon? Or something utterly different? *grinds teeth*
